Hamilton Panel works has been working with Safewise Ltd for the past six months.

We first made contact with Safewise Ltd to complete an audit and gap analysis of our health and Safety system. It was important that our health and safety system meet the minimum requirements for a major work contract we were tendering for.

Laura completed the audit and identified a number of gaps in our system. We decide to contract Safewise to work with us on an ongoing basis to get our system running and to reinforce our culture around Health and Safety.

Laura has assisted with staff training and development, the establishment and facilitation of our health and safety committee meetings, as well as set up system for the accurate reporting and receiving of accidents, incidents and near misses.

She has assisted our time to understand how and why we identify and report hazards in our work place. Over the past six months we have noticed a number of milestones in the area of health and safety which is largely thanks to the assistance of Safewise and the team:

• We have developed systems for reporting and tracking health and safety related events, in order to identify trends and to work towards continuous improvement

• We have also been able to achieve a tertiary level accreditation through the ACC WSMP audit process.

Safewise has assisted us to develop an understanding around the new requirements for the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015. Laura has edited our Health and Safety systems to ensure it meets the requirements of the New Legislation. Through the assistance of Safewise we have been able to remain calm and are reassured we have the right steps in place to meet the new health and safety requirements.
