Trainee Consultant


Safewise Limited is a Waikato owned and operated health and safety company with clients throughout New Zealand. We work with our clients to develop and implement a practical health and safety system, specific to their business that meets the legal requirements set by the Health and Safety at Work Act (2015) and industry best practice documents. Some clients use an App to support our health and safety practices which is managed by Safewise.  

With the growth of our company, we are looking to add a new trainee consultant role to our team. Reporting to the Director and Office Manager, you will be undertaking administrative, Site App Pro tasks and consultant tasks, depending on the progress of your training. 

The role will initially require you to fulfil maternity cover within our administration team which will provide you with the knowledge of our administrative processes.  The successful candidate will be expected to move into the role of health and safety consultant, managing their own clients and the clients’ administration requirements, and providing back-up to the other consultants. The timeframe for this transition to consultant role depends on the ability of the successful candidate to learn the role and is dependent on the ability to undertake the maternity cover. 
This is a full-time role of 40 hours per week. 

 

Your duties would include:

  •     Answering phone calls and emails

  •     Proofing minutes and other documents 

  •     Sending agendas

  •     Updating general client health and safety information

  •     Printing and filing of documents. 

  •     Completing documents as required by our clients. this includes development of health and safety manuals and forms, hazardous substances, etc. 

 

The successful candidate will:

  •     Have a full driver licence.

  •     At least three year’s work experience.

  •     Be computer literate and systems orientated.

  •     Be confident and work independently, but also part of a team.  

  •     Have good time management and organisational skills.

  •     Good verbal and written communication.
